Move beyond marketing tactics.
BUILD A MEANINGFUL BRAND.
I’m Mike, a Fractional CMO that helps businesses transform their fragmented marketing tactics into authentic brand strategies that deeply resonate with customers, creating long-term, measurable growth.
Why Most Marketing Fails
One of the most common marketing mistakes businesses make is to focus on tactics before strategy.
Jumping straight to social media ads, content, and campaigns without first building a solid brand strategy creates inconsistent messaging, wasted budgets, and lackluster results.
Businesses that focus on their brand don’t just make sales, they make emotional connections with their customers.
I help businesses by focusing on the fundamentals: clarifying your purpose, unifying your messaging, and creating a cohesive strategy that sets your brand apart.
How I Build Brands
Meaningful brands aren’t built through tactics—they’re formed by creating emotional connections, and just like meaningful human relationships, these connections are formed through multi-sensory experiences.
This insight inspired my brand building framework, The Six Senses of Brand, a systematic approach to brand development that ensures brands are perfectly positioned for long-term success.
The Six Senses of Brand
-
1 - TOUCH
Touch is how your brand connects with your customers.
What does your company stand for?
Why should anyone care?
-
2 - SOUND
Sound is about getting your brand messaging heard clearly and concisely.
What is your brand trying to say?
What is your brand voice?
-
3 - SIGHT
Sight is how the world sees your brand.
Is your brand identity clearly defined?
Is your brand design distinct and professional?
-
4 - SMELL
Smell is all about authenticity. Saavy customers can smell B.S. from a mile away.
Are your brand claims defensible?
How are you building trust with customers?
-
5 - TASTE
Tasteful content helps your brand differentiate from the competition & resonate with your target audience.
Where do your customers consume content?
What appeals to their sensibilities?
-
6 - INTUITION
Developing the previous 5 senses paves the way for the sixth sense, strategic intuition.
What is your brand strategy?
How will you leverage your brand to achieve your business goals?

Who Am I?
I’m an executive level marketer with more than 20 years of experience helping businesses grow through innovative marketing strategies and authentic brand development.
As the first CMO of Onnit Labs, I helped transform a small supplement company into a world-renowned health & fitness lifestyle brand that was acquired in 2021 by Unilever in a 9 figure deal.
I founded a full-service marketing agency that successfully helped dozens of business across multiple industries before exiting successfully in 2022.
Then in my second stint as CMO, I helped Still Austin Whiskey Co. become one of the top craft whiskey distilleries in the country.
BRANDS I’VE WORKED WITH
Don’t just take my word for it…
“Mike is a savvy marketer with the mentality of a founder. He approaches each challenge and task as if brand new, and uses the depths of his knowledge to tailor creative solutions. He's growth oriented, has a great eye for creative and copy, and is also a very good manager of people.”
Brandon Joldersma
Former COO, Still Austin Whiskey Co.
“Mike's forward thinking and impressive intuition led Onnit to truly explosive growth as a grassroots first lifestyle brand. Through his leadership and decision making he made a health and wellness company much more than that to our customers. The brand had a true emotional connection with many and that can only be accomplished through authentic platforming and transparency of action. I honestly believe that Mike is in the Top 1% of marketing professionals and leaders.”
Jason Havey
Former CEO, Onnit
“Mike has a rare mix in the professional world: all the creative bonafides and sensibilities of an elite brand builder + true business acumen and CEO-level smarts.”
